It sounds like you are doing much better without them, why worry about what they think? If you made a good name with the dubs, think of how much easier it will be with the non judgemental "worldly" ones. Screw the JW's and what they think!

What is my legacy?
by babygirl30 inas i was cleaning my house last night, i was boxing up all my jw literature i still had out in the open...and i was surprised how there was so much!!
i still had the videos in plain view, my bookshelf in my computer room was full over old kms/watchtower & awakes/bibles, and found my old mtg and service bags still full of literature too!.
so i throw the majority of it out, box up the rest, and then when i'm done and relaxing, i start thinking about what my legacy will be.

Is it worth upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7?
by nicolaou ini'm running vista home premium on my dell inspiron.
dell custom build to your requirements and i went for 4gb of ram from the start (almost 2 years ago).
i know vista has been much maligned but honestly, i've had no problems with it.

A few I had attended had windows that were regularly broken out by vandals or apostates. So when remodels come around, the windows were removed and the openings were bricked up. Both of the halls noted were in very rural areas.

Since 4/11/2005Simple, if you have a two level house, you have two vacuums, three level house, three vacuums, saves dragging one up and down and back again. When you have back and leg problems (of which I have both), the last thing you want to do is constantly drag things up and down stairs.

I use a hoover bagless I bought at Kmart two years ago for less than $100. It worked great on Rottweiler hair, which she is always shedding. I would highly reccomend.

I couldn't face going
by cantleave ini was suspossed to go to the meeting today, gotta to keep up the pretense in order to facillitate my fade.
instead i had nice lie in, i visited my non-witness dad, and then met up with my first aspostate from this site mr. majestic.. i didn't want to go to the meeting because meetings make me angry, i can now see the techniques used to control the congregation by fear.
i can't stand the thought that so many good people are being fed a banquet of lies and deception.. i could so easily never attend again..

I also just stopped going to meetings. No calls, visits, nothing. As others have said, it depends alot on your cong. Most everyone in my former hall knew that our elders would do nothing unless someone hounded them relentlessly. They were very lazy when it came to anything more than meeting prep/attendance, field circus. As I said in another post, they were probably happy I was gone. I tried to be as much as a pain in their ass as I could.
